The Green Wave skated to the Gordon Cup final with a convincing 7 - 0 shutout of Gloucester Catholic on Tuesday, February 14 at SportsCare Arena.
Jack Gerne '25 (1 goal / 1 assist) got the scoring going with the first period's only goal at 10:56 before Duncan Stewart and the Pendy brothers took over in the second and third period.  Trip Pendy registered his his first of two goals, a powerplay goal, in the second period assisted by Duncan Stewart and Timmy Galvin.  Max Pendy '24 scored his first of three goals, also on the powerplay, for a 3-0 Green Wave lead.  Stewart would make it 4-0 in the second, on assists from Trip Pendy and Nick Faccone.
Period three was a Pendy family scoring affair as Max netted two goals off assists from Jack Fidacaro '23, Jack Olsen '23, and Jacke Gerne. Trip Pendy's second goal came off an assist from fellow senior Duncan Stewart.  Trip Pendy finished with a 4-point game, while Max netted his first Green Wave hat trick.  Faccone had 2 assists, while Duncan Stewart finished with 3 points in the win.  Jason Cai and Teddy Foley combined for a 19 save shutout.
Coach Shatel and the Green Wave move on to the Gordon Cup Final against rival #2 seed Christian Brothers Academy on Thursday, February 16 at 8:15pm from Codey Arena in West Orange.
