In a thrilling matchup on January 31, Delbarton hockey rebounded from an earlier season loss with a commanding 4-0 victory over CBA. After a tense scoreless first period, the game exploded into action in the second.
Captain Max Pendy set the tone by netting a rebound five minutes into the period, giving Delbarton a 1-0 lead with assists from Dante Rodriguez and Aidan Pasic. The momentum carried into the third period, where Jack Ross widened the gap with a precise shot into an open net, capitalizing on a perfect pass from Jack Gerne to make it 2-0.
With only three minutes remaining, Pasic struck again, receiving a slick pass from Sean O'Gwen and unleashing a wrist shot that found the back of the net for a 3-0 advantage. Liam Donnelly sealed the deal with a backhanded shot from a tough angle, assisted by Ross, to secure the 4-0 win.
Goalie George Cote was stellar between the pipes, stopping all 27 shots he faced to earn a well-deserved shutout. Ross and Pasic stood out with two points each.
Looking ahead, Delbarton faces a formidable challenge against #1 Don Bosco Prep on February 2 at SportsCare Arena, followed by a regular-season finale against La Salle College High School on February 6th. With the Gordon Cup Playoffs looming on February 8th, Delbarton enters the postseason with confidence after their dominant performance.
