Delbarton Hockey picked up its first Gordon Conference win of the season and improved to 2–0 overall with a strong 4–1 victory at Princeton Day School on Wednesday afternoon.
After a scoreless opening frame, Delbarton broke through midway into the second period. Aidan Pasic redirected a rising shot from Matteo Conte, with Egor Andreev also earning an assist, giving the Green Wave a 1–0 lead.
Princeton Day responded on the power play, as Filip Kacmarsky evened the score at 1–1 off feeds from Fred Ringblom and James Winkler.
Delbarton answered as Mason Zhang buried a one-timer right in front, blasting the puck into the top shelf and knocking the water bottle off the net for a beautiful finish. Chris Migliaro set up the go-ahead strike, and the Green Wave carried a 2–1 advantage into the final period.
In the third, Delbarton tightened its defense and extended the lead when Thomas Keough cleaned up a rebound in the crease for a key insurance goal. Matthew Good and Egor Andreev added assists on the play. Princeton Day pulled its goalie late, but Andreev sealed the game with an empty-net finish to cap a three-point night (1G, 2A).
Goaltender Paul Insauto was sharp once again, stopping 11 shots to earn his second win of the season and backstop the Green Wave to their first divisional victory.
Delbarton returns to action tomorrow as they host Northern Highlands in the 2025-26 home opener.
