Delbarton hockey continued its strong start to the season on Tuesday, earning a 4–2 Gordon Conference win over St. Augustine at SportsCare Arena.

The Green Wave struck first midway through the opening period when Sean O'Gwen ripped a shot just inside the blueline of the Hermits' zone to give Delbarton a 1–0 lead. St. Augustine answered late in the period, tying the game with just over a minute remaining, but Delbarton responded almost immediately. Off a faceoff in the offensive zone, Michael Pirot found the net with 25 seconds left in the period, sending the Green Wave into the intermission up 2–1.

St. Augustine again pulled even early in the second period, scoring off a faceoff with 11:05 remaining to make it 2–2. Delbarton regained control midway through the frame. After a scuffle resulting in Delbarton having a 4-on-3 advantage, Marco Zimovcak buried the go-ahead goal to restore the Green Wave lead at 3–2.

The game's defining moment came shortly after, while Delbarton was shorthanded. During a 5-on-3 penalty kill, Aidan Pasic jumped on a loose puck and broke in alone, finishing a short-handed breakaway to push the lead to 4–2. The Green Wave closed out the game with a disciplined third period, holding St. Augustine scoreless.

Delbarton outshot the Hermits 31–16 on the night and killed a number of St. Augustine power plays. Paul Insauto stopped 14 shots in goal to earn the win.

Pasic led the offense with a goal and two assists, while Delbarton received goals from O'Gwen, Pirot, and Zimovcak in the conference victory.
