The Delbarton boys tennis team delivered a commanding performance on Monday, shutting out Randolph 5-0 in a decisive home victory.
Leading the charge in singles play was Brayden Bonetti, who set the tone with a strong 6-0, 6-3 win over Randolph's Kaushik Kanugula at first singles. His brother, Hudson Bonetti, followed suit at second singles with a flawless 6-0, 6-0 victory against Drew Weinroth, showcasing his consistency and control on the court.
At third singles, Hugh Weldon kept the momentum going for the Green Wave, defeating Jaidev Paulraj 6-0, 6-2 for the 3-0 lead.
Delbarton's doubles teams were equally dominant. At first doubles, Alex Choi and Dylan Scarpati notched a 6-4, 6-0 win over Nathan Kvares and Cristopher Cerulo. Meanwhile, the second doubles duo of Charles Barrett and Ryan Moumdjian took care of business with a 6-2, 6-4 victory over Randolph's Siddharth Vadali and Ben Karol.
With this win, Delbarton moves to 10-1 this season and 7-0 in the NJAC American division. Overall, the team jumped 3 spots this week, landing as the #5 team in NJ.
