Sub-Varsity Week In Review

Delbarton's sub-varsity spring teams were in full action during the second week of April, with strong performances across baseball, tennis, lacrosse, and golf as the Green Wave continued to build momentum.

Middle School Baseball

Middle school baseball opened the stretch with an 8–3 win over Pingry on April 9, showing early offensive rhythm. The team then dropped games to East Hanover (8–2) on April 13 and Rutgers Prep (13–2) on April 14, facing strong competition during the week.

Freshman Baseball

Freshman baseball faced a challenging slate, falling in a pair of close contests to open the stretch — 6–5 to Paramus Catholic (April 9) and 7–6 to St. Peter's Prep (April 11). The Green Wave then dropped decisions to Pope John (14–0) on April 14 and Don Bosco (7–2) on April 16.

JV Baseball

JV baseball continued its strong season with multiple wins. The Green Wave defeated Paramus Catholic 11–1 on April 9 and followed with a 4–2 win over St. Peter's Prep on April 11. Delbarton added a 13–3 victory over Pope John and another dominant 17–1 win on April 15 before falling to Don Bosco (11–5) on April 16.

JV Tennis

JV tennis remained sharp, earning a 4–1 win over Randolph on April 9 and a 5–0 shutout of Chatham on April 16, continuing its early-season dominance.

Freshman Lacrosse

Freshman lacrosse delivered a strong performance with a 10–2 win over St. Joseph Regional on April 10, continuing its impressive start to the season.

JV Golf

JV golf opened its season in winning fashion, defeating Newark Academy 141–169 on April 13 and Blair 149–160 on April 14, showcasing depth and consistency across the lineup.  The team has still yet to lose a match since April 17, 2024.

Middle School Lacrosse

Middle school lacrosse was dominant, earning an 11–1 win over St. David's (NY) before following with a 13–1 victory over Mendham Township on April 15.

Middle School Tennis

Middle school tennis earned its first win of the season with a 5–0 sweep of Far Hills Country Day on April 14. The team then fell to MKA (5–0) on April 15.

JV Lacrosse

JV lacrosse added another close win to its resume, edging Lawrenceville 7–6 on April 15 in a tightly contested matchup.
