Sub-Varsity Week In Review: The Long Stretch of Spring

Delbarton's sub-varsity teams continued a busy stretch of spring competition, highlighted by winning streaks in lacrosse and golf, along with key victories on the diamond.

Middle School Baseball

The Green Wave rebounded with a 12–3 win over Mount Olive on April 20 before falling to West Essex (9–2) on April 21. Delbarton closed the stretch strong with an 8–5 win over Bernards on April 23.

Freshman Baseball

Freshman baseball broke through with a 1–0 win over St. Joseph Regional on April 18 and followed with a dominant 12–0 victory over St. Joseph's (Metuchen) on April 20. The team dropped later contests to Paramus Catholic (3–1) on April 23 and Seton Hall Prep (5–0) on April 24.

JV Baseball

JV baseball continued to compete at a high level, earning a 12–4 win over Mount Olive on April 20 and a 7–0 shutout on April 22. The Green Wave fell to Paramus Catholic (4–1) on April 23 but bounced back with a 6–2 win over Immaculata on April 24.

JV Tennis

JV tennis stayed dominant, posting a 5–0 win over Morris Hills on April 20, a 4–1 win over Morris Knolls on April 22, and a 5–0 sweep of Morris Knolls again on April 23.

Freshman Lacrosse

Freshman lacrosse continued its strong play with a 15–7 win over Seton Hall Prep on April 18 and a 9–6 victory over Mountain Lakes on April 21. The team dropped a narrow 9–8 decision to Chaminade on April 22.

JV Golf

JV golf extended its unbeaten run with a 150–170 win over Seton Hall Prep on April 21 and a 161–165 victory in a rematch on April 23.

Middle School Lacrosse

Middle school lacrosse remained one of the program's hottest teams, earning an 8–7 overtime win over Black River on April 21. The Green Wave followed with a 15–3 win over Frelinghuysen on April 22 and a 17–6 victory over Gill St. Bernard's on April 24.

Middle School Tennis

Middle school tennis faced a challenging stretch, falling to Pingry (5–0) on April 21 and MKA (5–0) on April 22.

JV Lacrosse

JV lacrosse continued its winning ways with a 7–6 overtime win over Seton Hall Prep on April 18, followed by a dominant 11–0 win over Pope John on April 21. The Green Wave added a 9–2 victory over Mountain Lakes on April 23 and an 8–4 win over Malvern Prep on April 25.
