Delbarton's sub-varsity spring teams closed out the 2026 season with championships, undefeated campaigns, and impressive late-season performances across multiple programs, capping another successful year for the Green Wave.

Middle School Tennis

Middle school tennis finished the season with a strong closing stretch, defeating Summit Middle School 3–2 on May 14 and Gill St. Bernard's 4–1 on May 18. The Green Wave also battled Dwight-Englewood in a tightly contested 3–2 loss on May 15, showing significant improvement throughout the spring. 

Middle School Lacrosse

Middle school lacrosse capped another outstanding season by winning its second straight Middle School Tournament Championship. Delbarton defeated Mendham Township 3–1 on May 14 before edging Heritage Middle School 5–4 in overtime on May 18 in the championship game. Delbarton trailed 4-3 with 5:03 left in the game, and tied the score 4-4 with only 2:43 left.  Both teams had an opportunity to score on their first posession of overtime, but Delbarton would come out on top with just minutes left in overtime to clinch the victory.  The Green Wave consistently showcased offensive depth and resilience throughout the season.

Freshman Baseball

Freshman baseball closed the season with back-to-back dominant victories, defeating Chatham 12–2 on May 15 and Columbia 17–0 on May 18. The Green Wave wrapped up the year with an 8–4 loss to Toms River East on May 19 after another competitive spring campaign against a difficult schedule.

Middle School Baseball

Middle school baseball finished its season with a strong 9–7 victory over MKA on May 15, continuing the team's productive offensive play down the stretch.

JV Lacrosse

JV lacrosse added another impressive win to its strong season résumé, defeating Fairfield Prep 9–6 on May 16 to close out the year on a high note.

Freshman Lacrosse

Freshman lacrosse continued its dominant spring with a commanding 19–6 victory over Fairfield Prep on May 16, capping another championship season for the program.

JV Baseball

JV baseball finished its season in championship fashion, capturing a third straight JV Baseball Tournament Championship. The Green Wave defeated Seton Hall Prep 11–4 in the tournament semifinals on May 16 before adding wins over Columbia (15–5) and Chatham (8–4).
In the championship game on May 21, Delbarton rallied from a 3–1 deficit to defeat Don Bosco Prep 6–5, securing another title in dramatic fashion and continuing one of the program's strongest sustained runs.

JV Golf

JV golf completed a perfect season on May 21 with a 137–151 victory over Seton Hall Prep, clinching back-to-back undefeated seasons. The Green Wave consistently delivered low team scores throughout the spring and finished the year as one of the program's top-performing sub-varsity teams.

From tournament championships in lacrosse and baseball to undefeated campaigns in tennis and golf, Delbarton's sub-varsity teams once again demonstrated the depth, competitiveness, and winning culture of the Green Wave. Across every level, the future of Delbarton athletics remains exceptionally bright.
