Delbarton's sub-varsity spring teams are off to a strong start across multiple sports, with early-season success on the diamond, field, and courts as the Green Wave builds momentum heading into the heart of the season.
Freshman Baseball
Freshman baseball has opened the year 3–0, earning two close wins over Randolph (6–5 on March 30 and 4–3 on April 1) before breaking out offensively in a 15–1 victory over Montville on April 6. The group has shown both resilience in tight games and the ability to produce runs in bunches.
JV Baseball
The defending champions are off to a dominant 3–0 start, mirroring the freshman schedule with wins over Randolph and Montville. The Green Wave secured victories of 6–2, 16–0, and 12–0, showcasing strong pitching and consistent offensive production early in the season.
JV Lacrosse
JV lacrosse has put together a strong 6–2 record through its first eight games. Highlights include a 10–0 win over Glen Ridge, a 6–5 overtime victory against Haverford School, and a 10–9 win over Brunswick. The team also earned convincing wins over Ridgewood (8–1), Montclair (11–3), and Westfield (9–3), with its only losses coming against Don Bosco and St. Anthony's.
Freshman Lacrosse
Freshman lacrosse remains unbeaten at 4–0, with wins over Ridgewood (9–3), Don Bosco (10–6), St. Anthony's (11–9), and Westfield (8–5). The group has shown balance and composure, consistently closing out competitive games.
JV Tennis
JV tennis has been dominant to start the season, going 4–0 with four shutout victories. The Green Wave defeated Chatham (5–0) on March 24, Westfield (5–0) on March 25, Morris Hills (5–0) on March 26, and Montville (5–0) on April 7 after two rainouts. The team has yet to drop a match.
JV Golf
JV golf is set to open its season this week.
